Renaissance Reconfigured is my way of rethinking beauty, dignity, and storytelling rough the lens of today. The series takes inspiration from the grace and balance of Renaissance painting, but rather than preserve it untouched, I break it apart and rebuild it in a language of abstraction and immediacy.

These works are about holding on to essence, not appearance. The echoes of classical figures, architectural symmetry, and luminous light remain, but they are translated through gestural brushwork, fractured compositions, and a palette that belongs entirely to the present. In doing so, the paintings become a bridge between the quiet patience of the past and the restless energy of now. The process is both deconstructive and reconstructive: peeling away ornament and tradition until only the emotional truth remains, then layering new marks and colours that allow that truth to breathe. It's an act of both homage and transformation.

In Renaissance Reconfigured, history is not a static relic, it's a living influence, capable of evolving without losing its soul.
